At Zendar, we are working on a high-resolution imaging radar system that allows self driving cars to see through fog, rain and snow. We are a team of software engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers and researchers pushing the boundaries of what a radar can see.

Job Description:

We are looking for a lead FPGA Engineer to join our growing team in Berkeley, CA. You will lead the acceleration of our radar signal processing algorithms on a custom FPGA platform. You will be responsible for major design decisions on architecture of this platform and own its development roadmap. This role includes developing software and toolflow infrastructure, integrating interface/logic IP blocks and implementing custom signal processing accelerators in RTL.

Required Qualifications:

MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. 5+ years experience in FPGA or ASIC design. Excellent digital hardware fundamentals. Experience working with hardware signal processing blocks such as FFT, FIR filter, and CORDIC. Strong familiarity with DRAM interface and access patterns. Strong familiarity with FPGA development flow and design tools/infrastructure.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience designing and deploying custom FPGA- or ASIC-based signal processing accelerator. Experience working with and integrating third-party IP. Familiarity with electronics design principles and high-speed signaling. Familiarity with Python and Tcl scripting.
