Vathys (YC W18) Is Hiring Driver Engineers to Build the Future of ML Hardware

Title: Senior Driver Engineer

Job Description: The best accelerator in the world is useless without the ability to use it. Those of you who have tried to use nVidia GPUs in the past know of the difficulties of installing the drivers, CUDA, etc. And should those drivers break for some reason after you have installed them.... good luck! We aim to make our drivers "simple, bulletproof and iPhone-like" - easy to install, easy to use and robust across all types of workload. Unlike pretty much everyone else, we do NOT view the device drivers as a cost center and aim to make it as solid as possible.

Technically speaking, the driver will be locked to a single OS to start with (Ubuntu 16.04) and will interface with the Vathys chip through an FPGA. You must also work with us to create the FPGA glue logic. There will be no graphics driver portion involved.

You will be taking charge of the driver project from start to finish.

Skills and Qualifications: 1. Experience in developing drivers (must have), especially Linux drivers

2. Experience with drivers that interface with FPGAs (extremely good to have)

3. Experience with FPGA glue logic development (extremely good to have)

Location: Remote is ok
